Q. How does the estimator calculate my removal quote. Do you have fixed prices?
A. Each quote individually and the price on your specific needs. These include the type of vehicle and the size of the team we will need. They may also be other factors, like having to take a sofa out through a window or difficult access to a property.
Q. What is included in the quotation?
A. Each quotation is different as each quote is tailored to the customer's specific requirements. We generally provide separate quotations for each aspect of your move:
- Packaging materials; Boxes, tape, tissue, wardrobe boxes, bubblewrap, mattress covers and sofa covers
- Full or part packing service: This includes us providing all packing materials for your move
- Full removal service
- Dismantling service: We dismantle items such as beds, wardrobes and so on. We also remove things from walls and ceilings, such as bookshelves and chandeliers.
- Full unpacking service.
- Storage
- Waste disposal – old sofas or mattresses that you don’t require for your new home.
- Cleaning service: Often customers prefer to leave their premises spic and span for the new occupants.
Q. Can you both pack and unpack the entire household for us?
A. We as a matter of routine offer a partial or full packing service. We always place all items in situ as requested by the customer. In addition we offer a full unpack service which literally unpacks everything and places in drawes/cupboards etc as specified by the customer.
Q. We are unable to match up the buying and selling of properties. Can you arrange storage?
A. We have our own storage facilities (approximately 7000 sq. feet.) which are used to store our customers belongings. This can be used for any length of time and for any amount of goods.
Q. Do I have to pay VAT?
A. Yes. in the UK it is a legal requirement to charge Value Added Tax.
Q. When I am ready to book, how much notice do I need to give?
A. It is always advisable to book as far ahead as possible. This ensures your preferred date and guarantees you have a remover for your move day. We do understand that the housing market doesn't always allow very much time between exchange and completion so we do take bookings on a 'not confirmed' basis upon payment of a deposit. In addition we are frequently able to undertake moves at very short notice due to the size of our fleet.
Q. When do I need to pay?
A. The payment terms will be advised on your quotation and in our terms & conditions.
Q. How do I pay?
A. We accept BACS, cheques, debit and credit cards. Whatever your requirements, please feel free to contact us for advice, we’re always happy to help.
Q. Do you charge for surveys?
A. No we do not. They are free and no obligation
Q.Do you do removals at weekends, or out of normal hours?
A. Yes. We operate 7 days a week. Please note that Fridays and Saturdays are extremely popular for house removals.
